Skamania County EMS runs two ALS staffed medic units 24 hours as often as staffing allows, 7 days per week, with two ambulances in reserve for a total of 4 transporting ambulances for Skamania County. We also employ a Rescue vehicle for auto extrication, rope rescue, trail rescue, 2 squads, a regional mass casualty trailer, rehab trailer, and 2 Polaris 6×6 ATV’s.
- Staffed by part-time, full-time, and volunteer Emergency Medical Technicians and Paramedics.
- 1,300 911 calls for service per year.
- Service area of approximately 1,672 square miles.
- Skamania County PHD No. 1 is one of the hospital districts in Washington that does not operate a hospital.
- We provide service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Board of Commissioners for Skamania County Public Hospital District meets the fourth Monday of each month at 5:30pm. On occasion, the Board may adjust the meeting date or time to accommodate additional business, public hearings or workshops. The 2018 meeting schedule may be found here.
Meetings are held at Station 7-1 in Stevenson.
